Hot Chocolates Kitchen

Luxury Handmade Chocolates
We make handmade chocolates using the best ingredients we can source. We only use real Belgian chocolate to make our chocolates because it has a higher than average cocoa content and does not have any added oils or fats. Only cocoa butter, found naturally in the cocoa bean, is used in the chocolate, making it purer and giving a superior taste. All our handmade chocolates have been created by me, Sharon, with the aim of giving everyone who tastes them a really enjoyable and satisfying experience. Our chocolates are handmade in small batches using traditional methods just as you would do at home. So, what are you waiting for....?
Our Story
My husband and I set up Hot Chocolates in June 2006 after many months of research and development in the world of chocolate. Our chocolates are unique. Produced from carefully selected ingredients and made to our own recipes, they are invented and perfected in our kitchen. Having no previous experience in chocolate or confectionery we are entirely self taught. Working from our kitchen Chris and I spent many hours perfecting the art of tempering chocolate by hand and developing recipes for fillings that could be successfully dipped by hand in molten chocolate. Each individual chocolate is made by hand, and given the care and attention to detail that you would expect from people who really care about what they are making. We do not compromise on the quality of the chocolate whether it is to be added to a filling or used for coating it has a higher than average cocoa content and no added fats, only cocoa butter. As a young child I vividly remember my grandmother spending hours in the kitchen preparing our meals whilst my grandfather entertained my sister and myself. That commitment has been passed on through our family so that you can receive that same dedication in our chocolates.
Our Inspiration
We wanted to create chocolates that embodied our strong heritage in traditional foods and especially puddings. We were determined not to use moulds and equally determined to produce British chocolates something that would be substantial and heartening inspired to some degree by this wonderful heritage. We believe the British have a unique pudding culture. Puddings are warm, welcoming and comforting. We want people to experience that same satisfaction when they eat one of our chocolates. Once you have tried our chocolates, we hope no others will compare!
Our Ingredients
When we make the chocolates we choose the finest ingredients to go into them. Lemon and orange pure essential oils from Sicily, peppermint from China and almonds from California. But I think our real uniqueness comes in the inspiration we get from British ingredients and desserts, Apple Crumble, Scottish Tayberries, Drambuie, Christmas Pudding, Strawberry and Banana Smoothie. I love to think of something I have enjoyed eating and whether I can convert it into a chocolate.
