Delivery & Postage
We aim to deliver within the UK between 2-5 working days from the order date. Next day and Saturday delivery services are available on most items. Orders with a next day service placed at the weekend will be delivered on Tuesday. We can not guarantee on time delivery during severe weather conditions. If you specify your preferred delivery date on your order we will do our best to accommodate you or please phone us and we will let you when you can expect delivery. All orders are sent by first class Royal Mail or by overnight courier. For most orders we will use the Royal Mail signed for service. If your order is worth £40 or more it will usually be sent by overnight courier.
The charges, per delivery address, for the U.K. and Channel Islands are automatically calculated according to the value and weight of your order. Orders for Europe and the Rest of the World are calculated on the same basis. We aim to make our delivery charges as economical as possible as well as using environmentally friendly packaging.
Each delivery address requires a separate charge. For large corporate and wedding orders, to avoid disappointment, please order at least three weeks in advance. There is always the possibility that we can have your order to you sooner than that, please contact us for details.
When we are mailing overseas we send the chocolates by an international signed for delivery service.
The international signed for service provided by Royal Mail aims to deliver items securely within 5-8 working days. If you go on the RM website and look in the A-Z for "international signed for" it will give you a comprehensive list of details concerning this service. We and they can not guarantee delivery nor can we guarantee delivery in perfect condition. The chocolates are traveling a long way and are subject to other postal services over which we have no control. However, this is the best and most reliable service we can find at the moment to give our customers the opportunity to deliver worldwide. At Hot Chocolates we want to give you, the customer, the chance to deliver to friends and family wherever they may be, not all websites do this because it does involve an element of risk.
Please note that all online purchases now require an additional level of security where you are using a Master or Visa card. This is a mandatory requirement giving you greater peace of mind. This is to eliminate fraudulent use of cards and to make online purchasing even more secure. Once you have entered your card details including the security number on the back of your card you will be required to input a separate password known only to yourself. If you have n't already registered for this service with your bank you will be required to do so. We hope this will not prevent you from ordering, whilst it is a hassle having to register, in the long run we will all reap the benefits.
